Ms. Donna Hoenig

Learning Specialist, Director of Admissions Beginning her fourteenth year as a learning specialist at TABC, Ms. Hoenig advocates for her students by providing supplemental instruction, inclusion and ongoing monitoring of their progress in close coordination with subject teachers. In addition, in her role as Director of Admissions, Ms. Hoenig coordinates TABC’s recruitment program. Ms. Hoenig also facilitates the annual TABC Yom Hashoah program which includes a guest speaker, candle lighting ceremony, musical and video presentation. As a member of the New Jersey Association of Jewish Day Schools, she works on the planning committee for the annual conference, which presents staff development workshops to Yeshiva faculty. Ms. Hoenig has a master’s degree in education and previously worked as a remediation specialist on the elementary, high school and college levels teaching reading, writing and mathematics. She was featured on PBS’s “Learning Matters,” representing the basic skills program at Upsala College. Recently, she attended a seminar on “Specific Strategies for Educators Working with At–Risk Adolescents” at Yeshiva University.
