Welcome to Torah Academy of Bergen County located in Teaneck, NJ, minutes from the George Washington Bridge. We offer a comprehensive Judaic Studies Program in addition to college preparatory courses emphasizing English, history, mathematics, the sciences and technology.

We are proud of our graduates who continue their studies at yeshivot in Israel and institutions of higher learning in the United States. 90% of our 2007 graduates are currently spending this year studying in Medinat Yisrael. Many of the 2006 alumni have decided to stay for Shanah Bet. We are very proud of our academic achievements, our leadership and chessed roles in the community, our award-winning academic teams and our athletic accomplishments.

We invite you to explore our website and, with a few clicks, learn about what makes our yeshiva high school excellent.

News and Updates:

English Department Summer Reading 9/7/2008 11:59:59 PM
Since the summer is a good time to relax and read, we are asking you, the students, to do just that - read books that look potentially inviting and exciting within the next three months. As can be seen by perusing the list below, we have provided a wide variety of selections that should appeal to many tastes. Please choose at least one of the selections below. Upon returning to school in the fall, you will be asked to write on the book(s) you have read. We are not interested in your reading of secondary sources on the books; we are only interested in your ideas and reactions regarding the books you have chosen. While reading, it is always important to think about the particular characters and their conflicts, the unique message of the book, its setting, the meaning of its title, and the relevance the book may have to the reader.

You can access your summer reading assignments on the English Department downloads page.

Have a good summer.
