Each morning, Monday through Thursday, our Beit Midrash comes alive as eight RIETS semicha students join TABC for learning, mentorship, and connection. Their consistent presence creates a vibrant kol Torah that students can see, hear, and enter. The day begins with Shacharit and a short, inviting chaburah that makes big ideas approachable. During first period, Kollel members teach or learn with students, modeling curiosity and commitment. Afterward, the Kollel transitions into morning seder, with a TABC rebbe serving as sho’el u-meishiv — guiding discussion, answering questions, and modeling how to probe a sugya with both rigor and warmth. Some Kollel members are proud TABC alumni, and all are approachable role models who know our talmidim by name. Throughout the week, they connect with students in the hallways, over lunch, and at Friday night onegs or after-school programs — cultivating relationships that make Torah personal and real. At the same time, the Kollel serves as a professional development hub for future mechanchim. Through mentored classroom practice, thoughtful chinuch discussions, and weekly guidance from a Rosh Kollel, these semicha students refine their teaching craft while staying anchored in serious learning. Together, TABC and RIETS are nurturing the next generation of Torah leaders—creating a Beit Midrash culture that is accessible, rigorous, and rooted in genuine connection. Our students gain daily proximity to bnai Torah who live what they teach, and the Kollel members gain the tools to teach what they live.
