Although she was a history and political science major at Montclair State University, Ms. Marita Poline spent over 25 years in corporate and technology management, including 20 years as a senior business systems manager at Sony. She left to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Social Studies education at Columbia University Teachers College. Ms. Poline has been an educator for the past 10 years. She first taught at the Solomon Schechter High School in Teaneck, New Jersey and then the Solomon Schechter High School in Westchester, New York. Marita has taught U. S. History, World History, Jewish History, Constitutional Law, AP Government and Politics, Sociology, Tefilah and various electives. She was also the Senior Program Coordinator at Schechter Westchester. With students, she created the framework and constitution for student government and was its faculty advisor. She also advised the Culture Club to promote appreciation of fine and performing arts. Ms. Poline was the Education Technology Department Chairperson to develop student and faculty tech skills. She enjoys working with students inside and outside the classroom and is excited to join the TABC community.
