This TABC independent honors program is designed for students who have demonstrated the critical thinking and academic skills, as well as intellectual ambition, required for broader intellectual engagement. Students have the opportunity to identify and master a field of study that appeals to them by working on an in-depth project in that discipline. An Olam Hachochmah scholar might compose an original piece of music, write a story, invent an app, learn a Masechet of Gemara, make a documentary film or research a particular topic in history. The possibilities are as varied as our students’ passions. Scholars will select a mentor either from our faculty or from the community at large, and projects will be shared at an end-of -year event for scholars and their families. Additionally, scholars will be invited to hear from a variety of experts in their fields throughout the year, with a focus on creativity and innovation across the disciplines. Students not accepted as 8th grade applicants will have the opportunity to apply to the program at the end of their freshman year.
