Mrs. Erica Shapiro
Mrs. Shapiro (nee Botvinick) teaches Graphic Design to ninth- and tenth-grade students. She holds a BFA in Computer Animation from the School of Visual Arts and brings over 15 years in the design industry, with expertise in illustration, branding, animation, and product and package design. She also teaches children’s fine arts, runs private paint nights, and serves as the art teacher at Camp Shalom. In her classes, she focuses on practical, transferable skills, emphasizing file organization, project planning, and audience analysis to help students communicate effectively and engage thoughtfully with the world. Her project-management background in the financial sector supports a strategic, organized approach to design education.
